Types of Roofs with Deep Roofs

The hip roof is one of the popular roof models used in building design. Of the many choices of roof types, the hip roof has its own uniqueness in terms of design and function. There are several types of roofs that use hips in their design:

• Shield Roof: The shield roof is the most common roof design that uses hips so that it has a good drainage system in draining rainwater.

• Pyramid Roof: The pyramid roof combines all the hips at one peak, creating a symmetrical pyramid shape, suitable for buildings that have a circular or square floor plan concept.

• L-Shaped Roof: On an L-shaped roof, two roof sections meet at an angle, creating a deep hip that strengthens the structure.

• Combination Roof: This type combines a shield roof with a gable roof, resulting in a more dynamic design both aesthetically and functionally.

Those were the types of roofs that use deep hips. For those of you who want to use the hip roof model, use a fascia to help protect the edges of the hip roof from direct exposure to extreme weather. Hopefully useful.
